Planning My Music Magazine

Who is the Target audience?
My target audience for my music magazine will be male and female teenagers. From ages 14-17 who are interested in Rap/Hip Hop music the reason I have chosen to aim my magazine to young teenagers who like Rap/Hip Hop/Grime, is because the magazine will be sold around London and will interest teenagers from the streets of London, who mainly listen to that genre of music and therefore will buy the magazine.

What Style, Genre or time of music is your magazine about or going to appeal to a range of music tastes?
My music magazine genre is aimed at Rap Grime and Hip Hop because they are huge genres with a lot of different styles that attract a lot of different people and because I think it will interest more people which will be more people buying the magazine which could hopefully turn into a huge magazine and also because people featured in my magazine will be like most teenagers who live in London which will make them relate to them and look up to them and maybe want more out of life.

How often will your magazine come out and how much for?
My magazine will come out every other week so fortnightly and will be around about £2.00-£3.00 depending on the issue it will come out fortnightly because its aimed at 14-17 year olds who live in worse parts of London and may not have a lot of money or money to spend on a magazine which could stop them from being able to buy the magazine every week.

Is your magazine going to be glossy or more like a newspaper?
My magazine is going to be a glossy magazine and stand out to people who are interesting even though it’s aimed at teenagers and mainly about Rap/Grime music it can still be as good as a fashion magazine and won’t look cheap which will gain readers who will buy the magazine every other week just because they like the magazine along with readers who will walk in the shops and decide to buy it because it caught their eye or because they like who’s on the cover or featured inside.
